Hi Mossymoon! I hope you enjoyed the article. A couple things I wanted to point out.

1. As believers, we walk by the Spirit and do what grows fruit. We have died to the law and no longer live under it. The reason we don't murder, lie, cheat, etc. is because it is against the Spirit, not the Ten Commandments.

2. When 1 John 5 speaks of keeping God's commandments, it is not talking about the Ten Commandments. When we read 1 John 3:19-24 and 4:21 we see what the commands of God are: (1) to believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ (2) to love one another as he commanded us. So we see when are told that those who follow God's commandments will live, it is these commandments.

3. The major issue with Seventh Day Adventists isn't that they worship on Saturday or have strict dietary laws that they follow. The issue is that they say if you disagree with them on these, then you are condemned by God. This is in clear violation of the verses I provided at the bottom of the article. Paul clearly tells us we do not have to follow Sabbath or dietary laws to be united to Christ, and that anyone who says you must or else is bringing false doctrine and placing themselves under the curse of the law.
